New guy help with Three point hitch

When using three point hitch with MM mower deck, how do you keep mower deck up while lowering 3 PT hitch. I know it has something to do with 3 PT hitch lowering speed valve but can’t figure out. Right now, the MM deck raises and lowers as I lower and raise 3 PT hitch.

Don't know if yours is similar to the BX23, but if it is, you use a knob under the seat that is used for controlling your mmm cutting height. Raise the mmm to its maximum height and turn this knob to the maximum height setting and it will lock the mmm in the raised position. On some tractors, this setup is not properly adjusted and getting it to lock is difficult.

Mine is 2650. Research telling me that it is a manual locking by reremoving some Clevis pins on deck, position deck, then reinsert some pins. Im familiar with knob beneathseat that controls speed of three point.

Saying you have a 2650 (in your post and profile) is like asking for advice saying you have a chevy and want to know repair info.
In other works put the letters in front of the numbers, because they have made, a BX2650, a B2650, and a L2650, you'll get more advice that will be right.
