Hi all,

I've got a '14 L6060 Rops. Just picked up a used BH92 backhoe for it.
Per Kubota, I needed to order 2 parts kits to attached the BH92 to the L6060.
BH4999 Subframe Kit and BH4989 Mount Kit.
Received both kits... everything is accounted for. Now I'm looking at the install directions... everything looks easy enough except on page 20 it says to install the "joint coupler".

There is NO "joint coupler" in either of the kits. I have the hoses but no coupler. This seems to be the only part thats missing.

Been working with Messicks and the not so local dealer, neither can seem to find this part for some reason. It's not listed in either of the parts kit, nor the BH92 parts diagram. Does anyone have any idea what the part # is to this thing? Why it's not in one of the kits makes NO SENSE. Attached is the image from the install directions. It's the item on the left.

Thanks all for the help!

It appears to be a male to male pipe union with what looks like a mounting strap affixed to it. I presume it's what you use to mount the quick coupler to the body of the tractor.

I think this may be what you are after. I know it shows for a L4400, but the subframe kit page for your model sends you to this diagram for the part.

messicks shows it in stock, maybe they could send an actual pic of it?

Or spend $10 for a ordinary fitting and mount it with a scrap of angle iron

Great, thanks! Going through the diagrams looking for that now... looks like its on a couple of models. I emailed Messicks to try and get a photo to verify. "Kits", lets leave out just 1 piece to screw with them.

Dan,
1/2" NPTF Male Pipe x 1/2" JIC Bulkhead
Is this the exact size thats needed? I know it's 1/2"NPT on the one side, never heard of JIC Bulkhead though.

I'm looking at picking up those Flat Face quick disconnects from Summit for these connections... does anyone have those? Hows the quality and ease of use? I'm trying to get a straight answer from Summit on which "model" it is I need from them, but their to concerned with wanting me to print a diagram and "match it up"... what I'm supposed to be "matching up" I have no idea as there is no QD to "match". I tell them it's 1/2"-14NPT, but no... look at the diagram and Match it. Okay.

Its an educated guess. Kubota 3/8" hoses typically have 1/2" JIC (-08) swivel ends and your installation says 1/2" NPT joint. Based on the photo the union is male NPT x male JIC.

So I conclude the "joInt" is JIC-08 x 1/2" NPT. It's a standard union with a mounting strap welded to it. A bulkhead coupler with a home brew angle bracket is a simple replacement

If you are switching quick connects you get to chose the thread size. Here is 1/2" FF with 1/2" NPT threads.

Personally I don't think the FF couplers are worth the added expense and I would stick with the AG style couplers.
