Hi all, this is my first post here. Glad I found this forum.

I have a 4 wheel drive MX5100 HST Kubota, and looking for a good disc harrow.

I am curious if anyone has a similar or same tractor with a harrow.

I want a 6.5 ft disc with 20 inch pans, about a 16 pan disc. I like the looks of the Brown the most.

Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks, LJ.

Are you asking if it will handle it or what? If that is your concern I think you should be fine. Back in the day I had a 2wd 50hp IH and pulled a 9 or 10' trail type harrow without any trouble.

Well I was wonderimng what it would handle.

I have an old 6 ft harrow it handles fine but has small worn out pans and is an angle iron frame.

I want something tougher and more rugged.

I assume you are talking about a 3pt type harrow. I guess the weight would be the only limit on a 6.5'. If it was really heavy it might make your front end light but other than that I don't see any reason why it would give you any problem.

I have a FEL on the tractor, that should help with weight.

I thought I would run into issues with power before weight. The harrow I like weighs about 900 pounds, which is well within the capacity.

I think you'll be fine on power. I pull a 9 or 10' trail type with my L3000. I have to use 4wd but as far as the power goes it does just fine.

I know nothing about a harrow, but my MX5100 HS T4x4 pulls a 6 foot road grader with no issues and that thing is heavy. There is no way my 50hp massey 2wd would have done it. It will either pull it, or spin all 4 tires.
