I was wondering if you guys think that $24,800.40 is a good OTD price for an MX4700DT with FEL 844 loader, R4's loaded and the KTAC insurance which was $1444 of that price? I need to act today to get the 0% financing. Any inputs are appreciated.

Personally, I'd have him run the numbers without the insurance. If I thought it would break, I wouldn't buy it...

Unfortunately the insurance is required for the 60 mos of the 0% financing so I don't have a way out of that and I can't afford to pay cash for the tractor either.

It still sounds like a good price to me... Dealer is looking for an end-of-the-year bonus of some sort. I should have done so well when I bought.

The required Kubota insurance has nothing to do with the tractor breaking down, it has to do with theft, fire loss etc.

Kinda Kubota's way of protecting its asset until paid off.

YEP I agree, alot like full coverage insurance on a car loan. It's not a bad idea to get the insurance either.

From reading feedback on the forums I figured it was worth the money for 60 months since i leave town often and worry about theft. I was really set on the 3800DT but after the R4's, insurance and non-cash incentive financing price the MX4700DT the dealer had incentives on was just so much more tractor for the money and the loader capacity made me feel better for my needs. If i get a grapple bucket i will still have some loader capacity left since the grapples are so heavy. I also, ordered a Land Pride GS1572 Land Scraper for all the road work I need to do and smoothing.

Sounds like you're on the right path boss. Did you make it back in time to sign on the dotted line??

It's a done deal almost. I go pick it up in Texas a few hours away on the 14th. I had some other obligations so I can't drive out there to get it unroll then. I can't wait to get it. I hope I will be happy with the manual transmission DR version of the tractor.

My phone autocorrected this post. I meant untill then. Anyway, I managed to bite the bullet and buy a 20 ft heavy duty equipment trailer to go with it and my finances are now maxed out. I hate being in debt but I will feel different when I pick this tractor up on the 14th. I am going to look for the workshop manual online since I like to work on and maintain my own equipment.
