I have a B2650 with the 60 inch mid mount mower. I’m looking for a way to raise and lower the shield from the seat while mowing. Right now I’m using a bungee cord to hold it up. Anyone have done anything like this?

Best way to go is to take it right off and be done with it. Problem solved. I took mine off before I mowed the first blade of grass!!

All I do with my mowers is drill a small hole at the end for the bungee cord hook to fit in. Raise and lower as required. I keep the shield for that one chance that I might pick up a rock.

I thought about drilling a hole too. Where did you drill yours?

Mine is held up with bungy chord and is adjusted to just lift the chute a couple of inches. Makes a huge difference in grass distribution. I can hook the chord over brake pedal to lift it 90 degrees to fit through narrow locations. Dont take it off. I took out a jeep window and glass patio door by rocks getting thrown with mine held @ 90 degrees.

Don't have a picture of it. Drill a hole in the outside edge about a 1/2" in and large enough for the hook of the bungee to fit easily.
