I bought a used Maschio tiller awhile ago, and curse hooking it up every single time as it has this weird skewed/angled attachment brackets for the lower 3 point hitch pins. I've never seen another attachment angled like this. I'm just curious as to why they, or anyone else, would ever do this?

Good day.

It’s not my implement so I really don’t know but I believe that is bent from a user (operator error), not the manufacturer.

(Looks to me like it needs some encouragement or a little bit of love to square the ends up (hoping that doesn’t create a stress fracture in the process).

if those ends are bolted in on maybe see if you can remove for the encouragement or get new service parts. I think if you accidentally would break the ends a welder could fix it without to much fuss, especially if the ends are removable from the implement.

good luck.

That's weird!! They look like they've been purposely bent outward. You could either modify the brackets..... or get longer pins to protrude inward and hook up your lift arms on the inside.

It looks like they were modified to fit a larger three point hitch tractor than the tiller was designed for.

I would take them off, straighten them (or have a fab shop straighten or fab new ones) and remount. Probably can turn them to the inside and fit your tractor better, it looks to have the arms way out near the rear tires which is not needed.
