M9000 trouble. A whole lot deeper then I ever thought.

Ok my mistake, it’s the passenger side. Lol. Think outside the box. As your sitting in the tractor like a car, left side is driver and right side passenger. But I should have said pump side. Sorry The hose comes right out of the block left of the oil filter and runs to the bottom of radiator. If you look at Messicks under the A42000 WATER PIPE I’m referring to #080(joint,drain). In the picture it looks like it’s straight through but I assure you it’s a plug in the tractor. I’m thinking it’s a drain.
Interesting. I don't have that hose on either of my M's, open station or cab.

Not to be a smart ass but, on a cab tractor with a passenger or "buddy" seat, it's mounted to the left side of the operator seat, so the passenger side would be to the left. :D

Didn't reply after reading your question because I have a question about your question and that is.. What is the drivers side? You sit in the middle of the tractor so what side are you referring to? If you meant the pump side right side, that hose is for the oil cooler base which on your engine sits proud of the block and the spin on oil filter mounts to it. I presume that is what you meant?
"Drivers side" is something of an old mechanics reference used to identify location. Everything is located as though you are setting in the drivers seat of a left-side steered vehicle.

Why don’ we dispense with this “drivers” side and “passengers” side foolishness and use what any real country boy should know... “Near” side and “Off” side. :p

Got looking closely at my open station M9 the other day. There is a hose that runs from the lower side of the water pump around and behind the injection pump . Where it goes, I'm not sure but I'll take a closer look tomorrow as I have to put the hay rake on. I'm betting it feeds the oil cooler which is a plate that fits to the block and the oil filter fits on it.
