First post, first Kubota.
I just bought a new to me M5950DT. It is a tired old tractor but I'm a tired old man so it may work out. I have #1 cylinder not firing and 160# on it with quite a lot of blow by. I'm going to pull the head and do an in frame OH.
the loader is a M1850A and it needs pins and bushings on the arms. It seems like there a kit for dismounting the arms. I'll probably try and make this from scraps. I cannot find the procedure to remove the loader from its frame rails. I've ordered a manual for it but in the mean time any advice would be appreciated.
Once it's off will the lines hook together or will I need caps for them?
Do I need to put weight in the bucket to keep it from falling backwards?
Thanks

You would need the parking stands to be able to remove it without being a hassle, as they make it where you tilt the bucket and the back frames will come out of the pockets.

If you put something real heavy in the bucket , pull the latch pins on the towers, curl the bucket and lift the arms at the same time it will rise up and free them, then you will need to prop up and hold the arms up.

If the lines have quick disconnects on them, should be on the 4 lines that go to the loader cylinders, shut off the tractor, move the joystick around to relieve pressure on the lines then remove them, and back the tractor away from the loader.

You'll find on that model that the sub-frame is also going to be in your way.
You might end up having to pull that off if you need to do extensive work.

Thank you. That’s what i needed. I’ll fab up some parking arms out of 1/4” angle
Quick connections are a great upgrade. That would make it worth taking off for mowing.

I have the manual on the way.
2” square is what was going with on a $0.00 budget scrap 2” angle will make the square.
I’m looking forward to this project. And adding quick couplers.
Thanks
