LX2610 Air Conditioning

After putting up with weak air conditioning in my LX2610, I decided that the TXV needs to be replaced. While I have the roof off is their anything to insulate to roof? I know about tinting the windows, but, sometimes operate in the dark. The TXV lowered high side by about 75 psi(in no way scientifically measured) and have not shoved a thermostat up the duct(keep forgetting it at work). my high side was getting in the 350ish zone. Also Kubota wanted almost $500 for the Denso TXV, but was able to cross the part number to a AP air TXV for $45. Also has anyone installed coolant heater core bypass valves?

I never thought about insulating the roof I did dynamat the floor and I have a little better cooling and a little quieter maybe dynamat at the roof?? I'd be curious to see if you notice a difference

Just cut your heater line somewhere near the engine and put in a shutoff valve. Can be just a ball valve with 2 nipples on it. Close it in the summer and open it when it gets cold. Put many of them in various tractors and other equipment over the years.

Just wondering how you determined that you need to replace the expansion valve. Have you had poor cooling since purchasing the tractor new? Mine is a 2022 model with about 450 hours and the A/C works fine.
