Less than 50 hours (under warranty) suddenly the lift won’t lift tires off the ground. Checked fluid and it’s good. Newbie to these newer tractors.
Any help / advice (other than take it to the dealer) would be appreciated.

When moving the control to the down position, are you sure you're not going beyond power down and going into the float position? That's the way mine works, but it's 30 years older.

All I know is I’m pushing it all the way trying to get the pressure to lift the tractor.

I don't know how sensitive your controls are. But I have to slowly ease into my down position for power down. Push too far and it goes into float.

take your foot off the brake. The tires need to roll in order to lift the front tires.

if you're pushing it all the way you're going into float. No pressure in float.

You may need to raise the bucket a bit, roll it all the way away from you, and then lower the bucket thereby raising the front wheels. Of course if you're going into float this won't work.

Weight on the 3 pt hitch makes a big difference as well as you are trying to rotate the tractor around the rear axle and weight behind the rear axle tends to lift the front of the machine.

I know Roadworthy properly mentioned the FLOAT position. Do you understand what that position on the loader control does?

In case you are uncertain, the float position allows the loader lift arms to rise and fall as the bucket is back dragged across uneven ground.

It connects the two lift arm cylinder ports together so the cylinders do not resist lift arm movement. In the non float position the loader arms are locked into a position.

As others have stated if that is true, you’re putting the boom cylinders in float, which means they don’t power up or down, loader just falls/sits on the ground.

If you push forward slowly, you should feel a catch in the movement of the stick as you push past the detent to go from power down to float. If you’re pushing it forward quickly with force you could be missing feeling the catch of the detent.

If you’re not sure if it’s in float or not when on the ground: curl the bucket down (dump). If that raises the front of the tractor off the ground it’s not in float. If it raises the loader boom but the front wheels stay on the ground, it’s in float.

Worked like a charm! It was in float. Going to actually read the manual now after this embarrassing quest.

Becoming intimately familiar with the manual is highly recommended.

Glad it was just a operator error issue. Those have always been the easiest, quickest, and cheapest to fix in my experience. I’d much rather have a bit of embarrassment than drop several hundred on parts and a day or two labor for a “real” problem.
