Hello all,

I am new to this site. I have a L3000DT and have had no problems up until today when there is 3 feet of snow in my driveway.
The high-low gear shift is loose and not engaging the gears at all. Just flops from front to back with no resistance. I can see the lever range shift moving with the gear shift. See attached pics.
Any thoughts on what this could be? If so what is the fix?

Thanks in advance!

It's hard to see in the pics but is that a roll pin I see. If so that would be the first thing I would check just because it's the simplest place to start.

Yes it is a roll pin on the end of the shift. That pin is intact and it seems like the part it is attached to is rotating with the gear shift.

thanks

If the external parts are all in working order it doesn't sound like a very easy fix. Looks like the shifter is linked to a internal shift fork. I bet that's going to be your trouble. Maybe some of our OTT service dept guys will jump in on this one with some first hand knowledge.

Did this ever get resolved and what is the fix.

I have a L 3000 DT and am experiencing the same thing.

I'm stuck in high gear and 4wd seems stuck on.

Thanks,

Ed
