I have a L2195A front mount snowblower and I need to replace the skid shoes. I checked Messicks, Coleman and such but they want almost $100.00 each, plus shipping, for them. Does anyone know of any after market skid shoes that a person can actually afford to buy?

Nope, you'll need to fabricate your own if you want cheaper.

Check with this guy, he does some kind of plastic which he claims holds up better and doesn't scratch up your driveway like steel ... https://www.sulleybearsolutions.com/
If he doesn't carry what you need, he is willing to work with you if your good with a tape measure and camera ...

curious was I, in Canada shoes are $163(left) and $195(right) !!! First ,it's an obscene price for some welded steel, 2nd , WHY the $30 difference in them !

I added a section of UHMW as the 'cutting bar' on my BX23S. It's GREAT and confirm it does NOT scratch the driveways up ( I take take of 8 of my neighbours ).

Cost was just $60 for the 1x4x48 UHMW. 'fun' was creating the 7 recessed holes for the plow bolt.
Presuming material cost is based on volume, 2" thick UHMW shoes might cost $40-$50 for the pair

I Welded some quarter inch plate steel onto mine with some 1/2" square bar in order to get some more height and width for my gravel driveway.. Seems to have held up despite my lack of welding skills. Maybe you can do something similar to your existing skids.

Interesting, have a friend that's a great welder. Have to check with him about doing something like you.

Check out this site. Their skids are much beefier than the stock OEM ones.

Thank You! Sent a picture to see if they can match any of theirs to my blower. (y)
