my 1990 M4030 su loader or 3 point hitch will only lift when at high rpm. I worked it really hard for several hours yesterday , it was working fine and just stopped . I checked the fluid it was a little low ,added fluid didn't help . The loader is a woods du-al 195 it has some leaky hoses that need replaced but it has been working fine . If I unhooked the loader and the rear lift works does that eliminate the hydraulic pump ?

Any help will be appreciated , thanks
Oh yea, it has been service with proper oil and filter within the last few months .

Just stopped....mmmmmm......either it sucked air, or is giving up the ghost. I would go ahead and replace those leaking hoses! And check and recheck fluid. You might need a pump, but others will tell you where to look more specifically.

I'm planning on replacing the hoses but do you think if I unhooked the loader hoses and the 3point hitch works normally that would eliminate a bad pump . the loader is in need of lots of work , hoses and the control leak and I'v been planning on reworking it this winter I'm just trying to figure out what caused it to just stop working . it's going to be an expensive chore and I'm trying to figure out if I'v got to have a pump too. Its not like spraying fluid and no new leaks but the control has been sticking a little I'm wondering if it's a stuck valve or bad o ring causing this? Thanks for your help

Might want to double check your quick connects. Sounds like one is not seated. I've had them unseat while using the loader.

check that flat blade valve screw between back and middle outlets under the right floor pan. all the way left (counterclockwise) is for no implement. all the way right or clockwise is for loader use/hook up. just another thing to check in your evaluation of the system

Can't find this valve screw your talking about , I'm pretty sure my pump is good so I decided to remove the loader and replace all the hoses and either rebuild or replace the control so I unhooked the quick connects ,2 at the control and one at the back near the PTO . Something has got to be turned off because when I started it up it sounds like it does when the control gets stuck ... Sorry I sound dumb don't know much about hydraulic systems . The loader isn't Kubota it's a woods du-al 195

Your pump is dead heading with no place to pump fluid. You need to connect the two lines you disconnected (when you removed the loader) to each other.

OK thanks that makes perfect sense I'll do that but is there a valve or something to turn off the hydraulic to the front end loader may not be its not a factory loader I'm ignorant about this stuff I just figured unhook everything and it would be like it didn't have a loader .
