I'm looking to purchase an L3240 with LA724 FEL and mid mount mower due to the number of trees I have to mow around. My dealer told me R4 tires were too large for the mid mount mower and would have to go with turf tires. The tractor will be used mostly for mowing but I am concerned how well the tractor will handle with turfs when using the FEL. I could go with B3200 and LA504 but prefer the lift capacity of the larger tractor. Any comments or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you considered the idea buying a new Kubota Zero turn mower for the yard and around trees and but a used Bota for the grunt work?

Is he suggesting the tires would rub on the MMM?

What are your concerns?

I can't speak from experience but the tractor certainly doesn't look nimble.
If I were looking for a machine used mostly for mowing, I would buy a agile, and quick driving machine with a wide cut.

How important is a loader?
Maybe a Zero Turn would be the better choice as per Erics suggestion.

I have to agree with meanjean on this one,,, The R4s will tear up the grass some times no doubt about that. But my place aint no golf green so the R4's are no worry and getting through the orchard is a bit of a PIA everything is still good

Thanks for the replies. Having a few days to think about it I've decided to to forget about the turf tires, belly mower and just use it for loader work. I'll get something else to mow with as ya'll suggested. Guess I was trying to get the best of both worlds but it ain't gonna happen.
