It's not listed to fit it, there most likely is a dimension that is wrong for that model.
Being that the M8540 is much larger than the M7040 it might be a combination of width, length, and height of the loader arms.

I sort of thougt that, i just was wondering if anyone has tried it before. I cant find any 1353's close but the 1153's are everywhere. Called Kubota and they couldnt answer or tell me the difference. thks.
