Last night we were plowing and the bucket tilt got stuck down. The joystick will not move to the left. I can still raise and lower. I thought it was in the joystick but everything appears to be fine. It is not locked. could it be the cable? It does sound as if it's trying to tilt still even though the hydraulics are all the extended. I shut off as quickly as possible so it didn't do any damage to they hydraulics (if that's even possible). Thanks for any help. I now have a big pile of snow right in my driveway

Check the quick couplers to see if one came unhooked.
I did and they are still connected. I did read about the detent getting stuck but I didn't want to take anything apart until I knew for sure what I was looking for.

Did you back drag with it rolled back?
If you did you could have bent the cylinders, look there.
If you hear it making a change in noise and the lever moves freely then the valve is doing something, so very unlikely it's a cable binding.
There is no detent on roll so that's out too.

I'll inspect the cylinders better this afternoon. I didn't notice it last night but that doesn't mean one isn't slightly bent.

The damage can be internal too, check for any bucket movement by hand.
If it does then it's broken the cylinders piston.
Another option:
With the tractor off crack the hydraulic lines at the cylinders and see if you can get the bucket to move, if it doesn't move or is very noisy then the cylinder is damaged.
If it does move, roll it back up, tighten the lines, then fire up the tractor and without moving the loader control observe the bucket, did it move on it's own?
If it did move on it's own, you have a valve issue.
If it didn't move on it's own, try the loader control, how does it feel or respond?

I checked everything and the cylinders are good. I found that (I think it's a detent but could be wrong) is the culprit. I removed the cap, lightly tapped on it and it freed up. After just a few movements it froze back up. I'm going to call the dealer this morning to see exactly what parts are needed to fix it. I was able to get it to work long enough to move the pile of snow in the driveway

That part is the Regen, you can get a kit to rebuild it, but I think the cable that runs it, is more suspect.
Water gets in the cable assembly and then rusts it and freezes it up.

The Regen rebuild kit is 7J240-65100

I'll disassemble it over the weekend and see what shape the cable is in. I called the dealer and explained what was going on and the guy ordered something but I honestly don't know what. I don't think we understood each other. Guess I'll find out on that when it comes in.

Any tips on taking that apart? it looks straight forward. Thanks

I finally got around to working on this again (it's been a busy couple months). I found that in this hydraulic assembly is the problem. It seems to be either rusted froze or something feel apart inside. The cable is fine. Can this be rebuilt or does it need to be replaced. My local dealer was absolutely no help.

It can be repaired if the repair does not involve the valve body or the spool valve (rod inside the body).

If the Spools or the body is damaged then it will be a total replacement.
Pull the caps off the ends (detents and look for damage there, as that portion is rebuildable.

The rod inside is what won't move. I pulled both caps and besides looking like it had been submerged in water for years there was no damage. I will start looking for a replacement. I imagine it won't be cheap
