Hi there everyone I'm new to gst transmissions and am a little concerned with the one I have. Here's the situation it will take off no problem and go in any gear however say you start of in first and want to shift up thru the gears it has a pretty big hesitation between gears is this normal or is there some sort of adjustment I can make so it does not hesitate. PLEASE HELP Thanks Sean

There is a way to adjust that pause, Sadly without the gauges it's about impossible to get it right!
I just did it too my 3450DT-GST ( 30 min ago to be exact) and it isn't an easy job to do.

Unless you super mechanical/hydraulically inclined, It's more of a dealer tech job!

Another problem is that the wet clutch could be getting worn out, but a dealer tech can sort that out.

But before you do anything I would recommend a complete fluid and filter change, and use Kubota UDT, or better yet Kubota SUDT, the newer GST's are very susceptible to fluid related issues.

I just did a fluid change and the tractor only has 600 hours on it so I doubt the get clutch is wore out. Yes I am very mechanically inclined i was an auto tech for 15 years so is there anyway I could get you to explain to me how to adjust out the pause or could I find it in the service manual thanks Sean

What kind of oil did you use when it was changed?

Udt that's what the dealer gave me, my old b7800 took super udt but the said it wasn't necessary in this one.
Most dealers only stock UDT because of the expence. It's a one size fits all type of product so to speak.

You know, one size fits all "hat" but it's always just a bit to tight for my head.

One size fits all "gloves" but they seem to be just not quite right.

You get where I'm going with this...one size fits all is a very general statement to which now has been changed to one size fits most.

I'm not knocking UDT oil. It is a quality product but facts are facts, it's on the bottom of the performance list. SUDT is a step up and SUDT2 is even higher up the ladder. :p
If you want high performance you use the high end oil. Yes, UDT will work but don't expect to get high performance from cheap oil. :(

This is a perfect example of you get what you pay for.

If it worked fine until the fluid change and now doesn't?
I'm also thinking another fluid change might be indicated. And I would take it up with the dealer that recommended the UDT

Now that you mention that it started shifting slowly when you changed the fluid I would say you might have a bad filter or just the wrong type of fluid.;)
