My Kubota L4400 died while I was bush hogging. It acted like it ran out of fuel, slowed then sputtered and then it quit. It will not start, it will turn over and sputter for a few seconds then quit again. The fuel in the tank was pretty old 6 - 9 months. I checked the fuel filter, it was pretty cruddy, a little crud and maby a little water in the filter bowel. I drained the tank, thru the filter connection. I cleaned the filter and added fresh fuel to the tank. I let a little of the new fuel drain out to make sure all of the old fuel was out. Still no luck. When I try to start it it will sputter a little with the throttle open then die. I had washed the tractor earlier in the day at one of those do it yourself pressure washer types of car washes. I had been bush hogging for about 10 - 15 minutes before it quit. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know a little about gasoline engines but not much about diesel.
