I want to test the pressure because sometimes the PTO takes about a minute to shut off.

I always start and stop the PTO at idle speed.

The test port threads are PT 1/8.

I am having trouble finding a test kit with that size fitting.

I have a gauge that is 0-600 PSI with 1/4 NPT.

Just go to a hardware store and get a 1/4 to 1/8 reducer.

PT is the abbreviation of pipe thread, which is a 55 degree sealed tapered pipe thread. It belongs to WHITW thread and is used in Europe and commonwealth countries.

My 1/8 NPT will go in maybe 1/2 turn.

If I put the black plug and screw it into a female 1/8 NPT it is sloppy.
That is BSPT not NPT. Keep messing with the wrong thread type and you will have a mess on your hands.

The local hydraulic shop had the 1/8 Bspt Male To 1/8 Npt Female fitting.

When I told the hydraulic shop 1/8 BP they had no idea. It would be nice if the WSM said BSPT not PT.

Thanks for the help.
PT is a JIS designation that Kubota loves. BSPT is a British designation. Both are currently obsolete but still used by lots of manufacturrs. Here is a little cheat sheet I put together of the designations you might run into. Most hydraulic counter people will be baffled by anything other then BSPP/BSPT or G/R.

I should have around 400 PSI. I have 250.

No 6 is where you adjust it.

My tractor does not have that.

I don't know where to adjust it.

Your looking at the adjustment for a Manual or GST, with an HST it's the bottom picture.
