New here but in the market for a new tractor. I am new to the utility tractor thing and looking for some advice. I believe I have my target tractor narrowed down to the Kubota L3901 based on usage and acreage I have.

With that said I found a used 2016 Kubota L3901D for sale locally. It is HST, has the LA525 front loader with QA bucket. Also comes with Steinsammler grapple, and all sits on AG tires. The machine has 335 hours and they are asking $17900. Is this a good deal providing the machine is in good condition?

I've had multiple L3800's and they have been incredibly reliable, basic tractors. I still have one now that I use as part of my business. The L3901 is the same tractor but with some emissions control added in, I believe.

I usually aim for around $16k for a good used L tractor. But even then, with the grapple and apparent 3rd function, sounds like you've come across a pretty good deal!

So maybe to give you some idea. This past summer I bought a L3301 just 30 minutes west of you for 23000. It had the bh77 backhoe. an 3rd function valve. quick attach bucket filled tires 70 hrs. Not that I think I got a great deal but I looked for 2 months for a clean used tractor this was the best I found. Lots of B series out there but to small for me. So add 800 to 1000 for your 3rd function valve an maybe 1800 for a good condition grapple. Not sure what the backhoe would be but I think maybe 6000. So If its not all beat up may not be to bad. From what I found not to many great deals on clean used tractors around here. What your looking at seems reasonable to me.

Be very careful that you know what your buying...
A L3301D is not HST, it's a geared 4wd tractor.
A L3301H is an HST, and all HST's of this model are 4wd.
