hello, I was just out feeding animals with my l3901 and while traveling on the road in "H" at 2500ish rpm the tractor stopped. If I put it in "L" and very very gently depress the pedal I could drive up the road. Once on flat land "L" and "M" would work if I was very gentle with the pedal. If feels similar to when the relief valve opens if you press the pedal too far with not enough rpm.
fluid level is good.
Anything recommendations on thing to check prior to a dealership call?
thanks.

Check the switch under the seat. Not just the switch, but also the wires coming and going to it.

What you're explaining sounds like you've fried the clutch.

That was an initial thought of mine, but the clutch really only gets cycled when the pto is operating. I will be investigating further Tuesday.
If you can get a pto powered implement attached to it, try running it and moving in high and see if they both stop.
