Bought my tractor a few years back. An L3800 Kubota and I do love it, however I made the mistake of not getting the quick attach for the loader when I bought it. I have been looking into options for converting, and wanted some outside opinions. The loader that came on the tractor is the LA524.

I'm planning on going to the dealership, that I purchased the tractor from, to see if I could buy the coupler for the loader from them. Are there any aftermarket options that you could recommend if you didn't go with Kubota? Also if the dealer can't get the quick attach coupler for the LA524 loader would the one that goes to the LA525 be compatible? If anyone here has gone this route could you put how much it cost you, so I have a ballpark figure to expect.

I am wanting to go with the SSQA style for my conversion for the extra versatility.

Thank you for any help!

They made a SSQA for The LA524, and hopefully your dealer can still get it.

While you might pay a little more for a OEM setup, it will be better than any of the aftermarket models available.

Yes they are the same. If you can find a older one that went on a LA463 it will also work and the center tube or cross mender is a larger diameter.

I recently did this. I got the adaptor from my dealer. I bought some forks from Titan and also bought an adapter plate so I could modify my existing bucket.

Modifying the bucket is a PITA if you don't have the right tools. You'll need an oxy/acety torch, and lots of grinding disks and cut-off wheels. Before you tackle it, consider if you want to save yourself some hassle and buy a new bucket too. An adapter plate to modify your existing bucket will cost you abut $100, and I believe a new bucket costs around $600. So the cost delta is $500 if you just bought a new bucket (and you saved yourself about 6 hours of time)
