my L3650 has recently developed an oil leak that appears to be coming from where the lift arm comes out of the lift arm case. I have read through previous similar repairs to the lift arm piston, etc.

My question is if this failure can be be repaired without removing the entire lift arm cover from transmission. Specifically, can the lift arm shaft be removed while the cover assembly is in the tractor.

I don’t know if this is directly addressed in the service manual.

I don't think you'll be able to get the outer bushings out to get to the o-ring without removing the rockshaft completely, and you can't do that because the hydraulic arm will fall into the transmission.

I'd think a puller would help to get the rock shaft off the splines without removing the whole shaft.
Getting the 3 arms off or the shaft or the shaft off out isn't the problem, the problem is that you have to remove the rockshaft completely before you can get to the O-rings, and when you do the internal hydraulic arm just falls out of place.
you might be able to chase a rod through it to hold it up, but then aligning it on reassembly is going to be extremely difficult.
