I have an old LS355SS and today when I hooked up the Brush Hog, I was mowing for 5 or so minutes and it just stopped going forward, like it shifted into neutral. I lifted the Brush Hog and it moved again. Then it wouldn't go forward, but did in reverse with the brush hog raised, I was able to get to the barn. I engaged the pto and heard a load clang. its full of fluid as i added ma few gallons. Trying to figure out what it could be/where to look.

Makes sense to me, it fits what lead up to the problem. I cant seem to find the flow priority valve you have shown. Here's what I have, Included model and serial number cause Im not sure what year it is.

It's in your second picture with the single line running forward.

Well that seemed to due the trick. When I pulled the top plug, it kinda had a rusty sediment on it. I didn't have a drill big enough to chuck up the plunger, so I just polished by hand the best I could. After installing, I was able to due everything, but had a few spots of slight hesitation moving forward. So, I'm pretty sure if I pulled it back out and took a couple thou off it it would work perfectly as it was slightly tight when I re-installed the plunger. Thanks for the advice.

Well, it worked for a bit. Now the same problem. Seems to move fine in reverse. If I go forward, it makes it about 20 ft. I shuttle shift into reverse and it goes, then back to forward and it moves again. I have the brush hog lifted with the 3 point and a lifting cylinder it slowly lowers with the lifting cylinder m(that leaks like a sieve) The flow control plunger moves freely, I cleaned it up. Any Ideas?

to reverse and it moves fine

It could be simple as a piston seal replacement, but the labor to get to it is not simple.

I wish you luck in it only needing seals as the hydraulic clutch pack is not easy or cheap to find for these!
