L345DT PTO problem

Hey guys! I have an L345DT with an issue I have post on before. My PTO never disengages and I cannot get it to engage LOW PTO. I bought a brush hog and really need to do some cutting but my tractor will only operate PTO in High. What are my options to be able to run my brush hog with PTO in High. Is there any option? Some kind of high to low conversion. I know in the end the tractor needs to be split and fixed but I can't source the parts yet and was hoping to get some work done. Thanks in advance!

Just run it at half throttle.
There is conversions, but they are very pricey!

Awesome Thanks! My next question. Since my PTO never disengages unless I shift it to neutral, what is the best way to go about starting PTO with mower attached?I assume:

put PTO in neutral
drive tractor to where I wish to mow
shut off tractor
shift PTO to high
start tractor and set RPM
then mow?

So your saying that when you push the Clutch pedal all the way down you can't get the PTO to disengage?
I would first try adjusting the clutch pedal linkage because that has a 2 stage clutch and that should work.
If you need the WSM (aka service manual) just ask.

Yes exactly. It does not disengage. What I assume is the pedal has been adjusted due to a worn out drive side of the dual clutch. So now the PTO clutch is driving tractor and cant disengage PTO. Either that or it was stored for a long time with pedal not pushed down (prior to my ownership) and it is fused together for now.

But yes they can get fused, you can break it loose with the rotary mower.
Drive to heavy grass with it lifted engage and run the mower push pedal all the way in and drop the mower, may take a few tries, but it usually works.

Long time stalker, first time poster...

I just bought an '79 L345DT that ran three years ago and has sat since said the previous owner. She's in overall good shape but the wiring harness is kaput and like the OP stated the previous owner said the PTO would fall out of low range and so would only run in high range.

I'm goin to check the clutch pedal adjustment because it has an ungodly amount of freeplay in it, but the reason for my comment is you said if he's looking for the service manual to ask... well *folds hands together* please sir... might I aquire the service manual? I've managed to find all of the other manuals online, and i even stumbled across it somewhere on Kubota's website in high res, but the bookmark disappeared and I just spent the last hour searching for it to no avail... I know I'm new here but I'd be forever grateful!
