I have a new clutch to put in my tractor purchased from Kubota. It seems that it will not go onto the splines. Is there something that I need to do. I have measured and counted the splines and they all seem correct.

Are you trying to slide the tractor back together? They have clutch alignment tools but, you also can just make sure it is centered. I like to take the engine bolts and go to the hardware store and purchase two bolts that are about an inch longer. I cut the heads off and grind the end to a dull point. I screw them in and use them as alignment pins. I also put the PTO in gear and have a helper turn it to line up the splines as I go back together.

2 differnt ways of dealing with that clutch pack.

Use some tool to align all of the clutch pads up right before you assemble it.
still might need to spin it to get them aligned up completely.

Turn the input shaft while gently pushing in to align all of the clutch disks.

I am talking about the splines that are on the transmission shaft. The clutch is all together and when I try and slide it on the transmission splines they will not mate properly. This is behind the clutch. It is the shaft that comes out of the transmission that drives the clutch It came from Kubota I guess I will take it bach and see what they say. I can feel the slines but it's like it there is not enough depth in the splines to slide it in

I am trying to get the clutch to mate to the transmission. It looks pretty simple but the splines that are on the transmission shaft and the ones on the clutch look to be different. I tried the old shaft and it goes in very good.

Jerry - The Kubota parts website shows a lot of clutch versions for the L3450. There are dual-clutch and wet-clutch variants, and serial number breaks. The travel disk and pto disks look similar but have different splines. Give your supplier the tractor's serial number, it's existing clutch type, and whether it's the travel or pto clutch. If all the numbers check out, Kubota's dealer support should be able to get to the bottom of it.
