OK, Here it Goes...........

L3400 Kubota is not starting. What I have done so far,

1. Found a similar thread "only clicks when I try to start"
and I read the complete thread and corrected or tested everything
mentioned, I am still having a problem

2. Checked for 12V at starter solenoid, confirmed
3. Had the Battery tested under load to confirm adequate volts and amps,
the battery failed the test. So A New Battery was Purchased.
3. Ran a new 8 Gauge Ground from the Battery to the engine, as opposed to the chassis.
4. Checked the Dead man Switch under the seat, with an Ohm Meter,
it tested fine
5. Pulled the Starter and disassembled it, checking the Brushes, I cleaned the armature, reassembled, and reinstalled.

The only thing I know to do NEXT is have the Starter Bench tested

NOTE: I am getting a clicking sound coming from the fuel area on the engine, I read something about a Fuel Shut Off clicking. I have made the clicking sound when turning the key to the pre-start position...BUT nothing Happens when the key is turned to the CRANK Position...

I Need HELP figuring out what to test next.... I'm at a loss

Thank you for any help in Advance.

PS: This started with me just changing tranny/UDT fluid. I found a leak in a low pressure hose, so I ordered the hose. When I finished the fluid change and went to start....just a clicking noise coming from the fuel filter area when the key is turned all the way to the crank position.

I don't want to WASTE ANYONES TIME, so I really, REALLY did my best due diligence in trying to do ALL MY HOMEWORK before asking FOR HELP.

Thanks for your time reading my POST :)

A small jumper wire from starter big terminal to the small terminal, engine should crank. From your above statement i have a feeling it is your starter gone bad.
When i tear down a starter and service/clean i always spin it up on the bench or floor. Battery and a set of booster cables to jump it. I usually use a flat screwdriver to connect small terminal to large battery terminal.
Clamp in vise or stand on it as it will jump when energized.

Thank You Tooljunkie and BullDog,

It was the Neutral Start/Stop Safety Switch. :D:D:D:D

One of the 2 micro switches tested bad with an Ohm meter and showed physical damage...:) So happy to have found the culprit

Thank You Guys for your time and expertise

GP,

Half the problems experienced by our members are lawyer-introduced safety switches of one kind or another. I was about to ask if your machine was HST.

Glad you found it.
