I'd like to start out by thanking all the members here who have been a great help already. I recently purchased a 2003 l3000dt with 225 hrs on it. I like to know when my service was done so I greased everything and checked all fluids. I'm curious as too what oil, transmission and coolant you guys recommend. I use rotella t6 full synthetic in my trucks and other tractors. ( unless they leak a lot) then its rotella standard. My local dealer said ubt Kubota fluid is $110 / 5 gallons. That's way higher than the ambra multi g I've been using in nh mower. What fluids do you guys use. Thanks. And am I being too anal about the trams needing changed??

I hate to chance starting another brand war but this is what I use in my L3000.
I used Prestone 50 / 50 mix coolant
Amsoil 100% synthetic 5w30 Heavy Duty Diesel oil in the engine
Amsoil 100% synthetic Universal Tractor Trans / Hyd fluid in the tranny
Yes the hyd fluid is expensive but it only needs to be changed every 400 hrs going by the manual. The Amsoil I use is rated for up to 3x the rated service life.
