I had to pull my fuel tank from my L2950. In doing so, I had to disconnect the tachometer cable. I just unscrewed the retaining nut and pulled the cable out.
Problem is that on reassembly, I plugged the cable back in and screwed tightened the retaining nut just opposite of taking it apart. Now, when you start the tractor, the tachometer reading is inaccurate and the needle bounces. It is reading pegged out when started and has actually broken the tip of the needle PTO RPM.
How do I fix this?
