New forum member - watched for several years, and finally joined so I could seek some wisdom from folks more knowledgeable than I am. I may be in the wrong aisle, but have three questions (for now) about the L2900. I've had mine for about 6 years and mostly used it with a box blade, disk and bush hog. It's a 1998 model, GST, 4x4, about 515 hours and generally in pretty good shape.

1). AIR FILTER. The one I'm replacing is open on both ends, and given the configuration of the housing, it's got to be open on both ends for the spindle to go through it and the cover to screw on to the end of the spindle. The "official" replacement is a TA040-93230 but that has a cap on one end. I assume it would be a bad move to buy a no-name Chinese knock-off on Ebay (and hope it fits) just because it's open on both ends, so would like to find a decent air filter that fits. Because of that spindle through the middle, I assume there's no "inner" filter on this one. Any ideas why the "correct" filter is incompatible with the housing, and what filter to use?

2). 3 POINT HITCH. I changed out the UDT fluid (with "official" Kubota UDT fluid) and filter when I bought it at about 300 hours, and recently -- at about 515 hours -- the hitch (with bush hog attached) became stuck in the upright position. It will raise and lower a couple of inches but won't go any lower than about 80% up. I've manipulated the knob under the seat every which way, and that hasn't made any difference and it's "open" counter-clockwise all the way at this point. I changed out the UDT fluid and filter again (and replaced the crappy, leaky sight glass while I was at it) but that hasn't made any difference. No physical obstructions and the change-out ruled out a clogged filter, etc. Any ideas what to do?

3). LOADER. I hear this is the lament of a lot of L2900 owners. I should have found a tractor WITH a loader instead of buying one and then trying to find a loader. The LA480 and LA481 are nearly impossible to find, and I've had zero luck. The Westendorf equivalent is about $12k plus shipping (twice what I paid for the tractor in the first place), the Koyker is only a little bit less, and the others are "iffy" about whether they would fit an L2900 and also prohibitively expensive.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

2). 3 POINT HITCH.

Make sure the feedback lever (part 200) and associated linkages are still connected properly. No missing split pins (cotter pins) and such.

#1: You're looking at the wrong fiter #
Single filter is a T0070-16323

#2: Feedback linkage issue

#3: You already know the answer, sell it and buy a tractor with a loader. ;)

if the 3pt will partially lower the lowering speed valve is fine. As NIWM says focus your attention on the feedback linkage.

Folks, I really appreciate it! Gonna order the “correct” air filter today, and will check out the feedback linkage hopefully before the weekend. Will let y’all know how that turns out. Thanks again!!!
