L2900 not steering

I replaced the leaking Steering Assembly Cylinder without too much difficulty......but now it does not steer. With engine running the steering wheel freely moves but the wheels do not change direction. The cylinder seems to have a lot of up/down play where it pivots in the Pitman Arm Assembly......Did I some how switch the hydraulic lines or did something else happen?

If you swapped lines it simply would steer opposite of what you wanted.

It sounds like you just need to get it to purge all of the air out of it.
sometimes it can take a bit of turning the wheel to get it to do that.
Just turn it several times alternating directions.

If you have a loader, pick the front wheels up to make what NIW said easier.

That was it. I figured if I didn't have the lines crossed then the lines needed to be bled/purged..........Still seems to have a lot of up/down play where the cylinder pivots in the pitman arm. There is only 1 thin washer and tightening the mount to the pitman arm. no spacers to reduce play.

Yes that's right, it needs to float so that it doesn't bind.
