First of all, hello to everybody! I am new here and also new with Kubotas. I previously owned a b5100 but quite soon I sold it and bought this L2850 that I'm now trying to learn. I live in Finland and we have unfortunately limited selection of Kubotas here. For example this model that I have is by far the only one that I have seen here.. And because I don't have owners manual I have to find information for example from here. I'm allready glad that I found this page!

The first question that I have on my mind is related to hi/low (rabbit/turtle) gears. Why does my tracror have two different hi/low levers on different locations besides off course the main gear selector? These two seem to work separately. They work fine but they just feel a bit strange to be. Especially because of different locations of these levers. So how are these ment to b used?

That manual will be valuable for many things but it didn't solve this one. The mysterious lever that wasn't mentioned even on this manual is located on the left side of the driveshaft tunnel. For me it looks original. Previous owner of the tractor was older person who hadn't ever used that lever and didn't know what it does.

Do they both affect the ground travel speed? Some tractors have a 2 and some even a 3 speed PTO, could one be for that?

Sounds like it's a crawler gear, put the main gear in first, the main range in low, and see if the side mystery lever reduces the speed by about 1/2?

It's meant for a trencher or rice field operation.

Leave it in high for normal use.

I believe you hit the nail on the head Wolfman. I just looked at the parts manual and it shows an optional creeper gear lever on the left side tranny tunnel.

It affects to the ground travel speed so it must be this optional creeper gear! The speed is so slow with this that I consider it useless for me and can't imagine any situation where it could be used. Maybe it is good in rice fields but I don't know those conditions.. Anyway, I got the answer from you so I thank you all!
