I just brought this machine home. It has 289 hours on it. A 1984 model. It's been garaged it's whole life. Can anyone tell me about this model and if they are a desired machine. The local dealership told me that they never seen one with power steering but I'm sure it's factory. Thanks ahead of time for any input on this subject.

I can tell you its pretty rare to see power steering on the l275.
L275's are nice, nothing over the top about them, but no great faults either.

Post some pictures.

Are you kidding us, you have a Kubota and it runs, has low hours, kept sheltered, and you got it at a bargain price...and you want to know if it's a desired machine???:D:D:D

With all those positive attributes who cares if it's desired, just enjoy it!

The L275 came just before Kubota's major effort to penetrate the US market. It's a solid tractor that represents the evolving ideas of the time - redesigned front wheel drive, integral power steering that didn't put a shaft through the clutch housing, and dual-disk clutch for live pto.

With all that the L275 still got overshadowed by the new L345 - which Kubota promoted heavily, trying to gain a bigger share of the emerging US market. It had 4 cylinders, bigger rubber, more power, stronger loader, etc. all for a bit less money compared to comparable blue and green models of the time. (The green ones were full-featured too - they were actually Yanmars).

The L275 was (is) a solid machine - just wasn't strongly marketed so few were sold in the US. As always, prompt cheerful refund if info is bogus. Take care and have fun with your new toy. Dick B

That's the original bucket on the loader. It has the pockets to hold the storage bars when parked. (They are laying across the loader towers just under the steering wheel)

Well, I just might give you $100 more than you paid for it....

Would you take it?

If not, it's a desirable machine!:D

Good luck with it, looks like a great find!!

D2Cat would offer out $100 less than you paid - and convince you it's a great deal....That's why he is the King of the Deal!

He finds great stuff at great prices - trust him when he says you got a find!

Thanks for the input guys. I have a BX 2370 with a 60" mower on it. Bought it new three years ago. It seems like it will be a keeper. My next door neighbor bought this L275DT new back in 1984 and really never used it much. He passed on to be with Jesus in January this year. His wife is selling everything. I ended up with this L275DT. I have tried to find a set of rear wheels for it because my friend had these loaded so they are bad. West Kentucky Tractor Parts sent me a,set I sent them back they weren't just right. So I ordered set from Kubota. That's a hard hit for sure.but at least they will be new and the correct ones. I didn't get a book with it so I need to get one somewhere.l really appreciate you guys getting back to me with the info. I had used this machine some over the years to back fill some ditch work a time or two the machine started an always ran good. I also have a John Deere 8875 Skidster with a hoe with it so I won't have to remove the hoe to backfill anymore. Just use the L275. As to selling the machine I had not thought about. Thanks for the offer tho anyway. Hazen
