Went to an estate sale last Friday, specifically to watch this Kubota L2550 4WD sell:

The estate was that of a hoarder, who ran out of money to pay the rent to store his stuff. Nothing in the sale had been used in the last 20-30 years. The tractor came with an aftermarket loader and low, LOW hours (899.6). ID tag was torn, but the first 3 digits of the serial number were 554. Turf tires on it were poor, and one rear wheel was rusting out around the valve stem, but otherwise, the tractor was in excellent condition, and it sounded like that when it ran, too. I jumped in at $7500 and took it all the way up to $12,500 before letting it go for $13,000. I talked to the winning bidder, and he told me he would have gone higher.
There was also a well-used B6100 in the sale that went for $3000.
And, I should have bought the B205 hydraulic dozer blade (for the B6100). It went for $125.
As a consolation prize, I got the rear 3-point blade that was bought for the L2550. It's a Land Pride 7-footer, with very little use. Still, a minor bend near the attachment point. Just needs a stiffener in there.
Now I have a blade for the driveway, awaiting the tractor it needs to hook to.
I also bought 570 BF of rough-cut, air-dried select white oak in 1" and 2" thicknesses. Most of it was 2x10s, 13-15 foot lengths. Paid $0.44/BF! Floor joists for the shed loft. Already milled 100BF for a truck flat bed. Beautiful stuff.
