Hi,

I acquired an old L2550 out of a friends storage shed (only has 1400 hours) to do some work grading, moving materials and putting in some fencing. The friend said it was in working order so I dove in.

While using the back blade and loader the 3pt stopped working. It wouldn’t lift. Then a bit later the power steering went out. However the loader still works.

I noticed the transmission fluid was very low so I changed all the fluids. I was hoping that was the issue. The power steering came back but the 3pt still doesn’t lift. If it’s unloaded it will lift slowly but with an implement nothing.

What’s next? Need to get the 3pt going again. Would love some ideas or experience.

Have you checked the fluid level again? Think it is between your legs but there is a knob on that tractor right sure that adjust the lowering of the three point hitch. Realize you saying it will not rise but be sure it is not screwed shut. Also does the tractor happen to have both lift and draft for the rear lift? It would have two level beside each other most likely if it does. If it has draft be sure that lever is also raised.

If you ran it low on fluid it's very possible that you sucked up trash and plugged the screen or filter, did you replace them?
