Hi All,

First off I would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas.

I have a L235 ( with 2 stage clutch ) and there is very little clutch pedal left. When engaging the PTO you have to be very delicate or you are dumping it. It's the same deal when you are letting out the clutch to move foward or reverse, from starting to grab to full engagement is an inch of pedal.

I assume it is the clutch,( I just purchased tractor in the fall ) my question is what all do I need to purchase and where is a good place to buy?

Thanks

May need to split the tractor and replace the clutch pack. Start off by adjusting the free play in the clutch and see if that does anything for ya first.

Bumble,
Sounds like the first thing you need to do is get the service manual (not the operators manual, even though that will help with other things) for the right way to adjust/check the clutch, on a two stage clutch it's a semi complicated procedure.

Just jumping into a replacement is the wrong/costly approach.

By the sounds of it the clutch is fine (but out of adjustment) as a bad clutch usually will slip and be sluggish and not quick to engage.
