From reading posts here I understand the L225 is a bit of an odd ball tractor having some changes unique to it and parts hard to find

Is the L235 similar to the L225 or more Like the L245 ????

All three have similar but different engines but otherwise what are the differences ?

OK I will admit that I am an addicted tractor jockey and am looking at a L235DT for sale.... but are there reasons to avoid that model

Technically the L235 is the newer (81-85) of all three, and a newer designed engine.

L225 74-76
L245 76-85

The L235 is far closer to the L245.

Yes the L225 is the red headed stepchild of the three.
A lot of parts a specific to it and not interchangeable to any others.

Parts for the L235 are easier to acquire.

Thanks Wolfman ..... so I see L225 and L175 are same vintage and I see they are similar and from looking at photos on the internet I see L225 with 4 bolt hole front wheels and the final drives on the L225 are same as L175 being inside the pumpkin instead of out at the ends of the axle in what I call final drive housings.

Soooooo L175 has a jumping out of reverse problem when older and worn .... would L225 also share that same problem ?
