L2195 snow blower issues

I was running the snowblower the other day and sucked up a big rock.
The auger stopped spinning however the impeller still spins

What would cause this?

I have never seen shear bolts for the auger..........where are they located?

The impeller's shear bolt is in tact as the impeller functions perfectly

Do I have to take off the cross brace to access this?

It's probably under this cover:
You shouldn't have to remove any supports to get to it.
