Hi all,
I have a L2000DT with 1300 hrs on it.
There is a lot of bearing/ gear noise when using it, even when hi/lo is in neutral.
I'm about to pull it down to inspect/replace bearings.
Is there any tips or tricks I should be aware of before I start?
And are they standard size bearings and seals in it?
it has had a collapsed side case bearing once, so had enough metal floating around to block the filter.

Thanks all.
Al (Qld Australia)

I have pulled the gearbox down, the bearings actually felt ok for the amount of noise they made. But the pto shaft bearings felt rough.
Then after I saw all the crud under the diff, I decided to replace all the bearings.
I have a question.
There are 2 bearings on the diff pinion shaft marked BL 206, every other bearing is a "6" (single ball race).
They are the same size as a 6206 bearing,
Is there a difference?
I have tried online bearing shops, but they have all come up with "no such item"
Can anyone explain the difference?
And will 6206 bearings be ok for the long time?
Thanks

Looks like a normal bearing from search results

I thought so too Russell.
But I thought they must have put them in there for a reason.
Had to try a few people to find somebody to know the difference, and as your post shows, it's known as a Max capacity bearing.
On the NSK 6206 bearing, static load is 11300N compared to 16300N on the BL.
Dynamic load is 19500N compared to 21000N.
The price is a fair bit different as well 😱

I doubt the need for a high capacity bearing in a tractor transmission especially the size you’re dealing with. It is a compact tractor isn’t it?

But since you are there it won’t hurt anything to use them either and should give you a longer bearing life
