Hard to say without knowing the condition of the tractor you're interested in or knowing your intended use. I can tell you the L175 my dad bought about 1975 is still going strong. My brother in law owns it now.

I have a similar vintage L185F.
Many parts are still available from dealer and aftermarket. You are correct that some parts are obsolete but those can often be gotten from a salvage yard. The head is the main problem part since they can be cracked by overheating and they are hard to find.
I can’t really say to avoid it but you do have a valid concern. But unless you get a relatively recent model all tractors will have obsolete parts.
Just be sure it is not a rebadged grey market model by looking at the serial number tag which should be in English/French not Japanese.
