Hey everyone,

New and glad to be here! Tractor is a Kubota L3940.

The elbow fitting (my finger is pointing at it in the pic) is popping out of the top of my fuel filter assembly, where it connects to the ‘lid’!

Edit: It seems like the guy in this YouTube video had the exact same problem:

this fitting seems to click right into place, and is not held on my any kind of worm clamp… but it pops out from time to time, dumping fuel and stalling the tractor.

Can’t seem to get just the elbow fitting replaced. New assembly is 230 bucks, which is frustrating when it could be such a tiny part that fixes it.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

Epoxy is the answer, little dab will do it.
Take the filter housing off pull the fitting out, and clean it with brake parts cleaner.
Then little epoxy on the elbow pop it in (make sure it's facing the right way and done.

Amazing!!! Thank you so much!

any particular kind of epoxy? The L Fitting feels plastic, and i assume the housing is some kind of aluminum composite.

Those should be swaged. You can use epoxy (jbweld) just glue it in as assembled for orientation.

I would be concerned about all the oiliness on the surfaces of parts you have in your pic, you might have bigger issues somewhere.

I don't understand what you mean by the fitting "popping out". If the fitting is loosing you will be leaking diesel oil everywhere.

I permanently fixed mine with JB Weld. No more problems.

(And Yes, this may be the flimsiest design Kubota ever made.)

yes, it was quite the spill… and the diesel shooting everywhere was what saturated the dust on the parts!
