L175 with bucket, and all the usual stuff needed to live in the middle of nowher
For those interested;
After running for a short time and killing the engine, I noticed some electrical type sizzling noises from under the dash. First step was checking the batt ground. Next was pulling the dash and cleaning all the wire ends and contacts on the key switch and start/glow switch. Finally determined that the volt/reg was cooking. For a mere 110 bucks I now have a factory regulator.
Took apart the old unit and found cooked points and massive corrosion.
This is the end of my major tractor projects now, until something breaks.
Happy motoring!
