Hi there,
I am new to the forum. Have recently added a used KX057-4 to the farm. Previous owner lost a bolt on the engine and put a temporary replacement in (correct thread, wrong length; I tied red twine to the bolt for ease of identification in attached picture, it's a temporary plug to keep the hole closed). Can anyone tell me what this bolt is plugging and what the correct size (length) for the bolt would be? If miracles exist - perhaps somebody even knows the part number :)
Thanks a bunch!
Pete

Would be a lot easier to give you an right answer if you gave us a real model number.
Kubota never made a KX57-4

Take a deep breath...

Figured it's just a typo - KX057-4 - but should be corrected for future inquiries. ;)
It's not a typo since the same error is made in his signature.

Regardless, that's a nice excavator and one of the models that I'm on the lookout for in about six months.

It does appear that you correctly identified the plug that's missing.

Kubota makes a lot of models, I don't like to ever assume models.
And I like to give correct answers to questions!
I get your point Wolfman.... dropping the zero means it doesn't show up in future searches. I'll keep that in mind for future enquiries. Hope it didn't raise your heart rate into dangerous territory since it was the first time ;)
