Hi everyone first post here,
So I've got a kx41 its the first model, I figure about a 1994. It has about 2900hrs, but the hour meter cable doesn't turn. Anyways.
I do the oil changes, filters, grease it, wash it, it's a good little unit, but I don't use it much. However, I have a slow main boom lift, so if I'm loading or unloading a dump trailer, or digging a hole it's a pain. It lacks power, and even when it hits full movement, it doesn't bog the engine like other functions (everything else works great).
It works better when the machine is cold however.
I always thought, bad hydraulic line, bad cylinder etc, but the other day I learned something. On my hand control, left right curls the bucket, front back lifts the main boom.if I pull the lever down on a 45 deg to curl and lift at the same time, as soon as the bucket is fully curled, BOOM the main boom lifts fast and powerful!. Same goes at any time the bucket is curled and I pull the handle down to do both functions.
So, anyone have any ideas??
