This is my opinion: 
You would be a fool to even consider such a thing, even if you "always" work by yourself their will be that one time sometime when someone will walk behind you when they shouldn't.
Getting run over by a skid steer is a hard thing for someone to walk away from.

if this machine is commercially used I HIGHLY recommend against this unless you have a really great liability insurance carrier, it is an OSHA violation and a sure way to be sued.
