oil started leaking out of the front drive shaft from the transmission, do i need to split the tractor to replace the seal or is there a kit to repair this without splitting the tractor. my serial number is 56837.

Thanks,
Matt

Sounds like you need a Service Manual. I struggled with a front oil seal replacement way too long before seeing the need to split my B1750 HST. It teased at having enough wiggle room to remove the propeller shaft.

Yes you will have to split it to replace the seal.

was just wondering if i actually need to split the transmission also or just replace the two front seals
I thought I had answered your question?
Yes you will need to split the tractor where the clutch housing meets the transmission, It's not where you think, the transmission on these tractors is what most would call the rear end.
If you get the Service Manual it walk you threw the whole process.
