does anyone know on a L2000 with a 4 speed pto, what gear should I use for bush hogging. I use high 1 for transmission but not sure about pto

Got a 4 speed in mine too 1 is 540, 2 is 750ish, 3rd is 960ish, and 4th is 1100ish i had searched on this site and found it. Can't remember the exact that they said it was. Most attachments would be powered in 1st on the pto

Everything pto wise runs at the standard 540rpm. The other 3 gears is if you want to run something like a pto generator and don't want to crank your throttle wide open and burn up fuel.

Your tacho should also have a rpm mark that will deliver 540 on PTO gear #1.
