Picked up a used Kubota GL6500S generator to use as an emergency generator on my property. Runs fine but trying to source out parts. Oil and fuel filter seems easy to find but I suspect the thermostat may be stuck open as the unit runs cool - even under load. Can't seem to source one of these.

Depending on engine,it may not use a stat. You may have better success posting engine model number, and the kubota gods will shine the light upon you.

That unit has a ZB600-GL-S engine.
It doesn't have a thermostat.
It does have a thermometer switch that controls the electric fan, could be that switch is bad and triggering cooling fan operation to early or too long.
