First time here. I just put down on an M8560. It should be here in Dec.I was on a consumer affairs site and some complaints about Kubota have me a little worried about now if I should have done more research. Should I be worried? John Deere just seemed too high priced. Does Kubota have a lot of problems or the norm for any tractor?

I can only give advice about MY experiences with Kubota. I have a 2008 BX2350 with FEL, MMM, rear tiller that I purchased new. Over all, I can say that it has been the MOST reliable tractor I have owned. It takes everything I throw at it and asks for more.
Just do proper PM and keep clean fuel in it and you should not have any unexpected trouble.
Congrats on the new toy - - er - tool. Yeah, that's it, TOOL ! ! !

Like the last post, I can only describe my own experience. After a long search for a tractor, my choices came down to 2. A John Deere of comparable size and the Kubota I now own. I've never looked back. I bought used and everyone knows what a crap shoot that is. The Kubota is a damn tank. It takes everything I throw at it. I treat it right but I can tell you that I have used it in circumstances that are borderline abuse. It takes it and takes it every time. Maintenance is a breeze. The very few problems I've had were easily fixed. I cannot say enough how happy I am with the tractor

We've owned 5 and still have four, we've found them to be very dependable. We also own John Deere, Case, Massey Ferguson.
I cannot speak to the larger tractors. In the compact/subcompact category, Kubota dominates the markets. It is so bad that JD stopped competing in several models and most of their units they currently have in that area are cobbled together from other manufacturers in the same area.
For less expensive there is Mahindra and Kioti, but I understand the reliability and feature spectrum isn't the same.
Now, with all that said, just a quick read here and you will find that like any manufacturer, Kubota does make the occasional lemon. Whatever demonic stars align to create it are in play for all makers, so it's hard to judge any of them on a lemon.

Keep in mind, that unlike cars, Kubota and other foreign built tractors are final assembled by the dealer, so a lot of stuff like 'hose leaks' are actually the dealers rushing to finish without proper testing of the unit. US manufactured tractors are usually shipped fully built, so similar issues from them are usually factory issues.
When you go to a vehicle forum what you typically see are complaints. Owners have a problem of some sort are are looking for answers. And because there is a problem it doesn't necessarily reflect on the vehicle but the care and how it was maintained by the owner.
Read all things with the understanding there is no accountability esp. on the internet. Including what I am typing here! So have to look a several sites to get a better picture.
Kubota has been around since the beginning of compact tractors and survive the competition because of customer satisfaction. That should be all the information you really need.
Buyers remorse will eat at your sole! Do your homework before you buy and quit asking for satisfaction and approval afterwards.

I believe I also read some of those reviews (assuming they are the same), and most of them related to complaints about Kubota financing (related to non payment) or after market installs on the tractor.
We have a smaller L series than the M8560 you are purchasing, and have had great success with no issues. Any issues we have had I typically caused.

Those rice tires that are on may tractors were there for a reason. These tractors were developed for use in rice paddies. There are complaints because they are too light. That's a part of their history to. Don't need a heavy tractor in a rice paddy!
