Just wondering if any KUBOTA BX Lawn tractor owners are having a problem with the front exhaust blowing back on them.My dad bought a new KUBOTA BX2680 2 weeks ago and he loves it for all the cutting he has to do at our tobacco farm.Only complaint is the front exhaust that blows back on him on a windy day.Wonder if there is a exhaust extension that would blow the exhaust in another direction.Dad suffers from vertigo and the exhaust is making him feel sick.Hope there is something he can do to fix this.Any info and help on this appreciated....

I have a 60 series and never had a problem with the fumes. What kind of fuel is he running in it,, I mean is it good fuel or trying to run some kind of heating fuel through it?

Hmmm it should not make much of a difference, but next time your in town, just for shyts and giggles,, pick up a couple cans of diesel fuel from the truck stop of local gas station and run it through and see if that makes any difference. Some fuel does have a different smell to it

Go to your local hardware store - and get a steel P - trap, like the one that is under your sink , it might cost 10 bucks or so - cut it with a hacksaw or whatever you wish, place a hose clamp around it and send the fumes in a direction you wish! ( IF the exhaust is the same as the BX25, there is a small seam on the factory exhaust pipe that will need to have an allowance made for it to clamp tightly around)

I thought I was crazy but I have the same problem.

After years of using kerosene heaters I have become sensitive to them, I get sick when I'm around one.

I noticed the other day when I had used my tractor most of the day I felt sick, the smell of the exhaust had annoyed me when the wind wasn't blowing.

Thanks for this post!

Vertigo is very curable most the time... diesel fumes, not so much.
When was the last time he was checked for bacteria in his inner ear.
Some people never have their ear canals flushed regularly. Anti-biotics likely needed

Not sure if there is a station near you, but I would try B20, 20% biodiesel, in the tank.

Has a few problems with cold, but the emissions are greatly reduced, and 20% should not harm any gaskets or fuel lines on a new tractor.

The school buses here run B20, because so many kids have asthma....

tiss true - in a dusty or leafy place - it will blow it around, I changed mine to keep the soot of the side of the FEL.

TO get it out of harms way - it would need to be run up very high, or back under a good ways.:)
